Not sure I follow you Sophie, but the bottom line for us is that we will soon be able to get your home as much, or more exposure, on our site and with what we have planned, than you currently would get on MLS. We're just saying....the argument for not at least trying a pocket listing because you don't get exposure...we're going to kill that argument. There will have to be other reasons not to use our site, and if our plan comes together, there won't be any we can't refute. Let's also not forget we allow the buyer side to have a voice too.

Alex,
as a client I would say even more. Should I list a property for sale now, I would NOT tolerate/hire a listing agent who would DENY my property the full attention and the full exposure it deserves.

Of course MLS is obvious, but I would beg and kick to be in the RealEstate Time, in the local gazette, in the window of the listing agent office, I would check that it's printed in the Chron RE section ... and I would check everyday that the internet exposure is accurate - the bare minimum being zillow, trulia etc info being ACCURATE - and as many links and posts referring to those pages.

If pocketlisting is an option, if only during the 2 weeks prelisting while prep the property or something ... OF COURSE it would be none negotiable. If legal, there is NO REASON not to work your a$$ off as my agent - except being snob, incompetent or worse, plain lazy.

((now, not knowing about it is another thing... but tweeting? blogging? facebooking? emailing?... we are darn close to the time that not knowing means you're on another planet - and obviously not the agent to work with))

Disregard that email from that person. Some "get it", and some don't. This person clearly doesn't. My office shares them all the time. And I know the other offices in town do too. It's constant. I think what you are doing is a tremendous step in the right direction. I joined, and will support and spread the word! I wish you'd hurry up and get bigger in my market though. ;-)
